Zitat
1- The camera feels fantastic in the hand and handles super well. Love the ergonomics, size and weight. In my book, superior to Sony on the grounds of ergonomics, and superior to Nikon because of smaller size and lighter weight. Just as nice as the Canon r6 or r5.
2- The AF is AMAZING!!!! The tracking is fantastic, fast and reliable. Compared to the professional fast Sony cameras I have used, which are the A9, A9 II and A1, it is not as fast or reliable as the A1, which at $6500, remains the fastest. The AF is 100% competitive with the A9 and A9 II. In some cases better, in some worse. The eye tracking makes it superior in accuracy to both the A9 and A9 ii. But now and again, I would say 10% of the time, it gets lost. The A9s also get lost, but I would say 5% of the time. But compared to any SLR, like the Nikon D500 or D5, the new Olympus runs circles around all of them. And it is much, much better than any Olympus digital camera from the past, including the Em1X. Compared to the Canon r5 or r6, I would say the AF is as good. The above performance is remarkable when you consider that the Olympus OM1 at $2200 is less than half the price of the Sony A9 II at $4500. And in many features the OM1 is superior to the A9 II.
3- The 50 FPS is absolute magic. You get so many more opportunities to capture the decisive moment. I love this! BTW, I did not run into buffer issue at all today. In this feature, 50 FPS Raw images per second with AF and AE, the Olympus OM1 is superior to all digital cameras sold today, including the Sony A1, which tops out at 30 FPS.
